The 110 has more pipes under the bonnet, so thats an easier way to tell too. Also, both of our C5s has a sticker on the B pillar in the door shut on the drivers side, which says 2.0HDi 110bhp. Check for that. The earlier 2.0HDi (both 90 & 110) does not have a FAP filter, therefore no Eolys fluid.

As your coolent is just water id suspect its either using coolent or its leaking/has been leaking. The thermostat is not something ive changed on a 2.0HDi, but I think its a fairly easy job and the coolant shouldn't be too challenging either. As for the speedo, i had this problem with ours a few months back, the speedo just stopped working.
